Welcome to Velo Tours

Velo Tours organises cycling tours in Australia and Europe, taking tours to the Pyrenees and Alps for the Tour de France, as well as New Zealand and Tasmania. We arrange everything for you, from group stays in bike-friendly hotels/homes, amazing riding itineraries to day trips to regional tourist attractions. All you need to do is get to the airport and we take care of the rest!

Our Pyrenees and French Alps tours run in conjunction with the Tour de France each year and offer group members the opportunity to ride the same climbs as the riders in the Tour and experience the carnival atmosphere of the famous race itself.

Whether you are a keen cyclist or a weekend ‘coffee rider’ we can plan the ideal holiday to suit everyone. Our personalised service will make your cycling holiday truly memorable.

The 14-day
Tour De France Grand Tour

The Pyrenees and Alpes are the ultimate cycling destination for any cyclist who wants nothing more than to ride their bike all day through breathtaking countryside. Cyclists from the world over come to challenge themselves on some of the world’s toughest mountain climbs that feature in the Tour de France each year.

With Velo Tours, not only do you ride many of the famous cols across the 14-day tour but also cycle the mountains before the Tour de France peloton arrives. You get roadside seats to witness the Tour de France go by in all its glamour and glory before heading to Paris for the finale.

We guarantee our Tour de France experiences will leave you with lifelong memories that will rate at the very top of your “Best Thing I’ve Ever Done” list.

These tours are always booked well in advance so get in early to avoid disappointment. Our 2014 tour sold out in just 5 days.

We also offer a shorter 7-day tour starting in the Pyrenees or Alpes, depending on the Tour De France route, which also finishes in Paris. This group will meet the Grand Tour participants in the second week of the itinerary.
